À propos de MASINO, élevage de bouledogues français

Nous sommes situés sur la Rive-Sud de Montréal au Québec. Je suis juriste de formation et mère  de quatre enfants. Si a priori rien ne semblait me prédestiner à l’élevage canin, j’ai tout de même demandé à un ami éleveur, en 2017, s’il était possible de placer Vivian, un de ses bouledogues français, chez mes parents retraités, pour aider mes parents à demeurer actifs. Dès l’arrivée de cette petite femelle, la magie opère immédiatement : mon père, qui doit maintenant sortir promener son chien quotidiennement, doit également répondre aux questions des gens qu’il croise et qui sont curieux d’en apprendre davantage sur son chien. Plus question de s’isoler, il faut au contraire faire cette petite promenade vivifiante et jaser avec les voisins. Mon père est plus actif que jamais et ne fait paraître en rien ses 85 printemps. Vivian a sans doute joué un énorme rôle dans cette cure de Jouvence, mais une chose est sûre, c’est grâce à elle que j’ai développé une affection toute particulière pour cette race.

Je suis également une passionnée d’expositions canines. J’ai d’ailleurs terminé le championnat UKC de Charlotte, mon berger allemand. À partir de cet instant, il a toujours été important d’intégrer à mon programme d’élevage des chiens présentant une excellente conformation répondant aux exigences du standard de la race. En octobre 2018, j’ai donc fait l’acquisition de Zelle, mon premier bouledogue français qui a terminé son championnat canadien en mai 2019 à l’âge de huit mois.

Mes chiens sont élevés à la maison et font partie intégrante de notre foyer. Ils profitent de notre cour arrière qui est entièrement clôturée et mise à leur disposition. Ils nous suivent lors de nos vacances à la campagne ou dans les expositions canines et ils sont socialisés dans leur milieu naturel avec mes enfants et deux bergers allemands.

Chaque chien qui entre dans mon programme de reproduction est soigneusement choisi pour répondre à des exigences très élevées en matière de tempérament, de conformation et de santé. Aucun compromis n’est fait sur ces trois éléments. En effet, nous souhaitons produire des chiots qui non seulement excellent dans une enceinte de conformation, mais qui deviendront également un membre à part entière de votre famille.

We are located on the Montreal South Shore, in Quebec. I am a lawyer and a mother of four who nothing seemed to predestine to dog breeding. But in 2017, I asked a breeder friend if it was possible to place Vivian, one of his French bulldogs, with my retired parents to help them stay active. As soon as this little female arrived, something almost magical happened : my father, who now had to go out walking his dog every day, also had to answer questions from people he met and who were curious to learn more about his dog. My father is more active than ever and, at 85, doesn't look his age at all. Vivian has undoubtedly played a huge role in this rejuvenation, and she’s the reason why I have developed such a particular fondness for this breed. 

I am also a dog show enthusiast. In fact, I finished the UKC championship of Charlotte, my German shepherd. From that moment on, it has always been important to only include dogs with excellent conformation and that meet their breed’s standard requirements in my breeding program. In October 2018, I acquired Zelle, my first French bulldog, who finished her Canadian championship in May 2019 at the age of eight months. 

My dogs are raised at home and are an integral part of our family. They run and play in our backyard which is fully fenced and always available to them. They follow us on holidays in the country or at dog shows and are socialized in their natural environment with my children and two German shepherds. Each dog that enters my breeding program is carefully selected to meet the highest standards of temperament, conformation and health. No compromise is made on these three elements. Indeed, we wish to produce puppies that not only excel in a conformation ring, but that will also become a full-fledged member of your family.
